Iris Announces Plans for its Tenth Year as a Cybersecurity Awareness Month Champion

Iris OnWatch to participate in a joint webinar with the Global Anti-Scam Alliance to support Cybersecurity Awareness Month for the tenth consecutive year

Washington, D.C. – October 1, 2026  – Iris OnWatch (“Iris”), a B2B2C global identity and cyber protection company, today announced its support of Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CAM) for the tenth consecutive year. Iris will support CAM by championing this year’s National Cybersecurity Alliance’s theme, “Don’t Make it Easy for Them,” helping consumers build simple daily habits that can make life difficult for cybercriminals. Iris’ 2026 campaign extends that theme with a positive message for businesses: don’t make it easy for scammers – and seize the opportunity to make protection effortless for your customers.

Paige Schaffer, CEO of Iris, commented on the announcement, “We have always seen education and awareness as one of the best ways to keep consumers one step ahead of fraudsters, and think that many businesses and brands are doing this effectively. Since customers already trust these businesses to protect them, brands now have a real opportunity to stand out in the market by meeting that trust with effortless, built-in protection. In turn, this will further deepen loyalty, differentiate them from competitors, and grow revenue. On the consumer side, we hope to continue our efforts to raise awareness around and educate them on the small and easy-to-repeat habits that will help reduce potential threats by raising the cost of an attack.”

Iris will reprise its role as a Champion of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which it has done for the past decade. As a continuation of the State of Scams USA 2026 report issued in collaboration with the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (“GASA”) in June and Paige’s recent panel at GASA’s Global Anti-Scam Summit America event, Iris will be participating in a joint webinar hosted by GASA – details below:

“Our State of Scams in the USA 2026 report shows that over 80% of US adults encounter at least one scam or fraud attempt a year, and many encounter far more,” said Nils Mueller, Director, North America Chapter, at the Global Anti-Scam Alliance. “Iris and our other partners are aligned in understanding that cyber protections for consumers aren’t a ‘nice to have’; they are a necessity, and raising awareness for the kinds of scams that are targeting consumers can help to prevent and identify fraud well before it causes real harm. Together, we will provide the data, educational tools, awareness campaigns, and access to scam reporting and risk reduction options that allow Americans to take the offensive in the fight against cybercrime.”

Throughout the month, Iris will also showcase CAM-focused blog content and Iris identity protection platform-centered infographics on its website and related social media channels.
